Al Serpagli

The Palm started out as a newspaper “speakeasy.” Reporters from The Mirror, The Herald Tribune, The Journal American, et al would come to eat and write their columns for the day. The tradition of the caricatures on the walls started when cartoonists who could not pay for their meals would ply their trade on the wall in exchange for their food. The walls of the restaurant are a rich history showing generations of customers, many of whom helped to shape the history of our city and beyond.

Erin Wells

A New York institution, people have been patrons for generations. It features artwork on the walls, saw dust on the floor, and a rustic elegance.
