G.P. Davis, a black man, lived in this house and donated it to the American Legion after WWI. Now we have vets from the Korean War, Vietnam, and WWII there. The Post is there to help the community and sponsors different affairs for the neighborhood. Arts activities and computers are available. There are memorials as well as meetings twice each month. The Legion has a history that’s posted on the wall.
