Crystal Bobb-Semple

This historic district, one of the first in Brooklyn, boasts an amazing stock of intact 19th century homes. The organization of the district was one of the strongest community organizing campaigns in the neighborhood’s history. It was organized to stop the city from razing the historic housing stock to make way for housing projects. A group of residents fought hard to keep the residential architecture intact.
