Red Hook Waterfront

This area was to have been a site of recreational waterfront access in the early 20th century. People swam, waded, sunned on the rocks; boarded excursion steamers bound up the Hudson or down the Sound; or bathed at a visiting public-bath-house-on-a-barge.
