L&B is a pizzeria with famous Sicilian pies, lots of outdoor seating on warm days, a dining room, and their famous Spumoni ices. It has been family owned since 1939, and still going strong with many customers all day and night. It was first just the Spumoni Italian ices. The original owner Ludovico Barbati decided to make an outside area where people could enjoy their ices. In the 1950s, the second building came along which now serves the Sicilian and round pies. Then over the years, the last building was added, which was originally a luncheonette and is now the dining rom. If any of these buildings were to change, the eating establishment would never be the same. L&B is already famous—it has been featured on T.V. on “Man vs. Food,” the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour.
