The Art Student’s League was opened in 1875 by members of the National Academy of Design. Amongst the school’s faculty and alumni were artists Florine Stettheimer, Robert Henri, Thomas Hart Benton, Georgia O’Keefe, Hans Hoffman and Jackson Pollack.
