The new film adaptation of West Side Story will be out soon! Watch Bobby Sanabria and the percussion section of the Multiverse Big Band — Oreste Abrantes, Matthew Gonzalez, and Takao Heisho — break down the drumset/percussion parts in the song, “Gee Officer Krumpke” from his Grammy-nominated West Side Story Reimagined album. They will demonstrate their unique and innovative adaptations of traditional Afro-Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Haitian rhythms, as well as New Orleans, funk and rock within the context of contemporary band performance.
