Please join us on September 14th from 7:00 – 10:00 PM for “Victor V. Gurbo Presents,” the third in a series of solo artist concerts at City Lore. This evening will feature the stylings of two uniquely talented Finnish singer-songwriters. Johanna Telander, known for her Nordic fantasy musical “Kalevala the Musical,” will be debuting a set of original material freshly arranged for vocals and folk harp. Her set will be followed by Petra Jasmiina, who uses pop-infused folk music as a vehicle for her soulful storytelling. Lastly, Victor will be performing songs from his repertoire, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Mark Caserta. Mark and Victor began working together during the pandemic lockdown, and recorded over one hundred songs while isolated from one another. Some of this material became the foundation to new songs and new arrangements, which premiered live at Carnegie Hall in June of last year. Please see postings for times and ticketing.
