Teaching Artist Profile

Grace Galu is a vocalist, actor, and composer who combines the sounds of her Irish and Congolese heritage with a soulful and gritty twist. Her composition, “Ordinary Sentiment” was featured in the Ed Burns film, Purple Violets and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She now works with Trusty Sidekick Theater devising new works and is a core member of the band Soul Inscribed, who have twice been selected as cultural ambassadors for the American Music Abroad program.
