November 17, 2016 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

City Lore is pleased to host an evening with Urban Research, the imprint of Terreform, a book series devoted to cities and their futures. The program will include a panel discussion around their recently published book, Adventures in Modernism: Thinking with Marshall Berman, the first posthumous collection of essays on Berman’s life and legacy.  A scholar, advocate, and public intellectual, Berman gave generations a new way of thinking about what it means to be modern. Panelists include: Jennifer Corby (editor), Jamie Aroosi, Joan Ockman, Ali Mirsepassi, and Marta Gutman. Includes a special screening of Henry Chalfant’s archival footage of Marshall Berman in his native Bronx. Copies of Adventures in Modernism will be available for purchase.
