Heartland Passage Tour in Rochester

September 10, 2017 @ 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

| $10

On Sunday, September 10th at 4:00 pm The Little Theatre in Rochester will host The Heartland Passage Tour – a unique performance event bringing troubadours, performers and storytellers to celebrate the Erie Canal bicentennial in a most unusual way. This stop will begin with a 4:00 pm screening of the new short documentary, Boom and Bust: America’s Journey on the Erie Canal, by Academy Award winning independent filmmaker Paul Wagner – a meditation on the economic cycles along the canal that speak to the fate of the American dream. Next, there will be musical performances by Jay Ungar and Moly Mason, famous for “Ashokan Farewell,” the theme song for Ken Burns’ Civil War series, and Kimball, Canning, Bolt and McClure, performing the music of traveling troupes along the canal in its heyday.
