Heartland Passage Tour in Medina

On Thursday, September 14th at 6:00 pm Medina will host The Heartland Passage Tour – a unique performance event bringing troubadours, performers and storytellers to celebrate the Erie Canal bicentennial in a most unusual way. This stop will begin with a 6:00 pm performance by Gretchen Sepik as Surly Sal, a cook on the Erie Canal, followed by musical performances by Erie Canal Songsters The Dady Brothers & Kit Fallon, and Dave Ruch. The evening will end with an 8:00 pm screening of the new short documentary, Boom and Bust: America’s Journey on the Erie Canal, by Academy Award winning independent filmmaker Paul Wagner – a meditation on the economic cycles along the canal that speak to the fate of the American dream.
