Eisteddfod, which ran for many years in southern Massachusetts, is a celebration of traditional music and song, with concerts, workshops, informal jamming and singing and more. This year's conferences features: Ralph Bodington - Paul Brown - Andy Cohen - Judy Cook - Joe Elias - Julia Friend - Jug Free America - Norman Kennedy - Will Noble - Ian Robb - Helen Schneyer - Rafe Stefanini - Hedy West - Jerry Epstein - Tom Gibney - Margaret MacArthur - Heather Wood - Howard Glasser (director emeritus) and many more.

The weekend conference will include fieldtrips around NYC as well as the Heritage Muse™ Symposium on Traditional Music featuring Ed Cray on Woody Guthrie and Steve Winick on Ballads. Ed is the author of Ramblin' Man: The Life and Times of Woody Guthrie and also of The Erotic Muse. Steve, a student of the late Dr. Kenneth Goldstein, lectures on folk music at the University of Philadelphia and is a fine singer. Heritage Muse is an e-publisher of folk-related texts, including The English and Scottish Popular Ballads, by Francis James Child. Book early for registration and housing! Time permitting, we’ll conclude with a visit to Little Seoul on West 32nd St. and finish up with Korean bubble tea. Meet 11 AM at WorldWide Plaza public space, mid-block, W. 50th Sts. between 8th & 9th Aves. Take the 1, C or E trains to 50th St., walk west.
